This wooden trivet can be placed crosswise under hot pots and frying pans. It is easy to assemble and takes up little space in the kitchen drawer. Sustainably sourced local wood called Albizia Saman is used. This is typically grown in yards and by roadsides, and sold when a family needs an extra source of income. This wooden trivet is handcrafted by skilled carpenters at a workshop in the city of Jashore, Bangladesh.
The product is sold untreated, but can be treated with a light coating of oil if desired. Handwashing is recommended.
