This sisal, woven basket is handmade by a weaving cooperative in southeastern Kenya. The women hand-dye the sisal fibers and weave them into these beautiful works of art. Due to the arid landscape and relative remoteness, jobs are hard to come by and weaving has been a way for these women to reach self-sufficiency. Use these African baskets as a planter or storage basket.
