These large candles are made by the Q'eqchi people of the Guatemalan cloud forests using natural Myrtle wax, and each candle burns for approximately 6 hours. These candles smell faintly of bayberry. Makes for a wonderful gift! As always, Handmade and Fair Trade!

About UPAVIM: 

UPAVIM is an ethical line of handmade goods including home, baby, and accessories. All the products are handmade by a self-run women's cooperative in the outskirts of Guatemala City. At UPAVIM we believe that when women are economically empowered, families thrive and communities are safer. Through our income generating projects, the women of UPAVIM are able to not only support themselves and their families, but also to support their community. For over 28 years, UPAVIM has worked with and within the community of La Esperanza to develop programs for the community’s benefit. Who works for, manages, and develops these programs? The women of La Esperanza and surrounding communities.

We offer $6 flat rate shipping on orders under $75, and FREE shipping on orders $75 and above. No code is needed at checkout. Please note that items labeled as "Local Delivery/In Store Pickup Only" are not eligible for our flat rate or free shipping due to their size and/or weight. 

All Clean Slate purchases will be shipped within 5 business days of your order via USPS or UPS. A tracking number will be emailed to you upon shipment. 

Once your order arrives, if for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, you may return items in new, un-worn condition for a full refund, minus original shipping cost, within 30 days of purchase. Return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer and is not eligible for refund unless the item arrived damaged or not as described.
