The Kenya Collection is handmade by fairly-paid, empowered artisans at a worker-owned cooperative in Nairobi, Kenya. This cooperative is located in Kibera, which is one of Africa’s largest slums. These remarkable partners use the power of artistry to transform their own lives. In doing so, they also transform their community. These partners craft the Kenya Collection from recycled brass with accents of cow horn and bone because these resources are available locally.
Swahili Coast connects the incredible artistry and talents of East African Artisans to global markets using principles of fairness, dignity, and respect. They refer to their strategy as “power over pity.” They strive to support the creation of worker-owned cooperatives and provide continuing support through fair exchange and promotion of workers rights in the East Africa region.
We offer $6 flat rate shipping on orders under $75, and FREE shipping on orders $75 and above. No code is needed at checkout. Please note that items labeled as "Local Delivery/In Store Pickup Only" are not eligible for our flat rate or free shipping due to their size and/or weight.
All Clean Slate purchases will be shipped within 5 business days of your order via USPS or UPS. A tracking number will be emailed to you upon shipment.
Once your order arrives, if for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, you may return items in new, un-worn condition for a full refund, minus original shipping cost, within 30 days of purchase. Return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer and is not eligible for refund unless the item arrived damaged or not as described.
